Driven by a passion for helping people
Alicia's story began right here in Winthrop and Revere, in a family of community activists and hard-working union Democrats. This community is where Alicia learned the value of hard work and where her desire to fight for bold, compassionate policies comes from.
After graduating from the Winthrop public school system, and with a degree in Health Management & Policy from the University of New Hampshire, she took that fight to the Massachusetts House of Representatives. There, she worked for the Chair of the Health Care Financing Committee, the Chair of the House Ways and Means Committee, and later served as a Policy Advisor and Director of Communications to one of the youngest female State Representatives elected in the last 40 years.
Alicia's work in the House has allowed her to see firsthand what Speaker DeLeo has done for Winthrop and Revere, and her current pursuit of a Master's in Public Health has shown her what can be achieved if we elect a fighter for bold and compassionate policy.
